INTRODUCTION

God is not in all the thoughts of the wicked (Psalm 10:4The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
See All...). The Bible says that the thoughts of the wicked "are thoughts of iniquity" (Isaiah 59:7Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
See All...). And just as the wicked despise the Lord in their thoughts, the Lord despises their thoughts. In Proverbs 15:26The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
See All..., the Bible says, "The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD." King David, a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
See All...), added that the thoughts of the wicked were against him for evil (Psalm 56:5Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

A man yielded to the Lord, desires to bring "into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS

• (For smaller children) God was not in the thoughts of the rich young fool. He lived his life the way he wanted to and never considered that one day he would face God (Luke12:16-20).
• Do your thoughts match the thoughts of a wicked man or of a righteous man? How many of your thoughts are toward the Lord? How many of your thoughts are against God’s people?
• Do you desire to bring your thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Christ? Do you allow your thoughts to lead you into sin and away from the will of God?

PRAYER NEEDS

• Ask the Lord to guide your thought life.
• Ask God to protect you from thinking like the wicked.
